Alex Liu
AGE:   7 Years Old
HOMETOWN:   Yorktown Heights, NY

Alexander Liu, seven-year-old second grader from Yorktown Heights NY, began exploring piano at the age of five and half with Ms. Felicia Zhang. At age six, he was selected as the First Place of Elite International Music Competition and the First Place of Little Mozart Competition. At age seven, Alex was featured by World Journal for his performance with world-famous pianist Richard Clayderman in his 40th ANNIVERSARY World Tour at Isaac Stern Auditorium/Ronald O. Perelman Stage in the Carnegie Hall. Out of ten thousand applicants, Alex was selected to participate in Talented Young Pianist Show in China in 2018. The program was on-air in September 2018. Also at age seven, he was selected first place in Crescendo International Music Competition and again selected as the First Place Winner of Elite International Music Competition. He was gold medalist in AADGT XXV Music Competition. Alex has performed 6 times in the Carnegie Hall.

 

Besides classical music, Alex joined School of Rock FUNK & SOUL band in 2018 and won Song of the Year in 2018~2019 season. He was selected as youth reporter of Sinovision. He has interviewed violinist Paul Huang, Sean Lee and pianist Qian Wu.

 

Alex also enjoys programming, playing his own computer games and building AI robots. Alex really wants to become an “astronomer pianist”.
